NRBQ is a legendary "roots music" band-I 'forget' that not everyone knows of them, seeing as I've been listening to them since the 70's...:

their bass player was married to Skeeter Davis.
The guitar player is Al Anderson, Tele wrangler, also a great songwriter.

Great stuff. Yup, Big Al is a really fine guitar player. Us New England guys know them well - used to see them routinely in Western Mass and Connecticut, where I spent most of the 80s.

Joey Spampinato
I believe Joey Spampinato (Skeeter's husband) played bass in Chuck Berry's film Hail Hail Rock'n Roll.
Together with Keith Richards.
