Ha! Was not expecting to hear a version like this. :D

Wasn't expecting 2/4.

Nor was I expecting Skeeter. :)

Delightful, none-the-less.

Thanks so much for sharing, Dave.

Who's doing the great guitar work?

p.s. what's NRBQ?

NRBQ is a legendary "roots music" band-I 'forget' that not everyone knows of them, seeing as I've been listening to them since the 70's...:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NRBQ

their bass player was married to Skeeter Davis.

The guitar player is Al Anderson, Tele wrangler, also a great songwriter.

Thanks Dave.
Didn't know that Skeeter-NRBQ connection. She's...cute, singing that. Like a little girl instead of a show tune belter.
And I ain't dead yet---cheerful as hell this morning thanks to Mr. Emmons. :D

Great stuff. Yup, Big Al is a really fine guitar player. Us New England guys know them well - used to see them routinely in Western Mass and Connecticut, where I spent most of the 80s.

This is from this 1985 album: http://www.amazon.com/Sings-They-Play-S ... B000000344

Joey Spampinato

I believe Joey Spampinato (Skeeter's husband) played bass in Chuck Berry's film Hail Hail Rock'n Roll.
Together with Keith Richards.
