I don't see what all the fuss is about...I'm gonna try a couple of those licks Saturday night with the guys. I don't have a "dog chain" but I do have an old logging chain which I think will actually get a better "impact" from the other band members. And the sustain!!!!!Did you hear that sustain?????

Exploring the unique "noise" aspects of the pedal steel can lead to a much greater understanding of the sonic possibilities of the instrument. It can be very useful in real world musical situations. That is how I started playing. I got to the idiomatic organizing of actual notes much later down the road.
