Marian Hall on Joe Maphis' "Town Hall Boogie"
Unfortunately she's only shown for a short while, but this YouTube clip displays Marian Hall's playing pretty well.

whewwww doggies!
If that one clip alone doesn't qualify her as the sexiest woman in music history..., probably my very favorite THP clip.

Joe Maphis
Man oh man!! Did Joe ever play a slow song in his whole career? Everything I ever heard out of this guy was wide open!!
Thanks for posting and bringing back some real pleasant memories of a time gone by and a time when effects pedals were not required, just pure talent.

Hello Brad Bechtel, thanks for being MS.Marian Hall up.I Produced one single on her on my Young Country Records and The Song was " L.Daivd Sloan ".It got a pick in BillBoard Magazine for us.She sure was a sweet heart to work with.I've also had the pleasure of working with (both) as I call him,Uncle Joe & Rose Lee Maphis.Uncle Joe was dear to me to.He and I got to do that little double pickin' thing together & I've got it on Tape. Two of the most colorful people in my life was and still is,Joe & Rose Lee Maphis. > > Leo J.Eiffert,Jr.

Thanx, Leo!
That's great, Leo. She should get her own (Bear Recs.) THP video presentation (as should every member of that terrific TV program), as well as write a book about her unique life and times.
It'll never happen quite that way again.

Rose Still With Us
I worked many shows with Joe & Rose, I see Rose every other month at the ROPE Socials. She seems to be doing fine. Ron

Do a search on Youtube for "Ranch Party Gang" and you'll find a couple more videos. Unfortunately I haven't found any more that feature Ms.Hall.

Bobby, there have been only a few SGF threads concerning Marian, but do an SGF 'search' and you'll find what's there, in particularly one that had Marian participating, and was probably the last things she ever did pertaining to steel.
The Town Hall Boogie is the most of, and best cut of Marian's playing on THP that I've ever seen, and she was with them the first 5 or so years in the early 50s, then Billy Mize took over on steel.
