Byrd solo?

Whoever posted that song... incorrectly listed it as Chet Atkins and Les Paul. It is Chet only. Les Paul is not on that recording. It was recorded prior to the Chester & Lester stuff. I believe the steel player is Bud Isaacs. I had several of Chet's 1950s albums years ago, and Bud Isaacs played steel on those early albums... sounding much like like what I hear on this record. And think I hear a couple of pedal changes in that solo.

I agree 100 % with Doug !! That is not Les Paul and definitely not Jerry Byrd !! Sounds like Bud Isaacs old style on pedal steel . And I didn't hear any Les Paul pickin either !! Sounds like Chet all the way !! IMHO !!?? Eddie "C" ( the old non-pedal geezer )

Great stuff. I have had that for a long time and yes it's Chet and Bud Isaacs. This is the stuff that made want to play guitar along with many others. I love it. Bobby
