Curly Chalker - You Tube Issue

Post by Bill Maynard »

Has anyone determined why these Curly Chalker videos are no longer available. I pulled up the lists of Curly's videos and they are all listed " video unavailable".

Curly's rendition of " Steelin the Blues" had 17,543 views. This no doubt sets a record for a steel guitarist views. I would like to see You Tube figure out how we can bring him back on again.

Anyone have any ideas?

His music is missed and not only be me...

I don't know why his videos were pulled from You Tube, but I still have literally hundreds of copies of the DVD left.

The DVD is 2 hours of nonstop concert footage taken from 2 different performances Curly did in 1986. It is in my opinion (which obviusly is totally biased since I created the DVD) the ultimate document of his playing.

The DVD is available from b0b, Scotty, Billy Carr, Jim Palenscar, Russ Rask and of course from me. After next Year's SWSGA show in Phoenix, they too will be selling the DVDs.
Please visit my web site and Soundcloud page and listen to the music posted there.

If you don't have it, get it. If you do have it, buy one and give it to someone!

`Sleepycreek`, the You-Tube poster of the Curly videos, had his You-Tube account suspended. I think this may be him under a new i.d.

I would suspect that the video's you mention were in copyright violation. They were from TV shows and were not created by the user.
This is stated plainly in the YouTube rules.

Early on I had posted some "Pet Milk Grand Old Opry" video's, before I realized there was a problem. Gaylord Entertainment reported me to YouTube and the video's were removed.

This is why now, I only post video's that I personally shot and have received permission from the players themselves or the players families, if deceased.
