Got to see Merle do those impersonations live back then-- actually earlier than 1975. Those are from 'The Fightin' Side of Me', which was right after the live Okie From Muskogee album. So my guess is that was 1970 or so.
Hank Snow was on that same show, recorded Philadelphia. Merle borrowed Hank's fiddler -- Chubby Wise of The Rainbow Ranch Boys-- to do a Bob Will's tune Corine Corina. Merle was learning the fiddle back then and hadn't yet added them to his band.
