Just amazing! The tonal clarity and virtuosity together are beyond description. Those Texas Troubadours band-only records are my absolute favorite instrumental country records, period.

Leon Rhodes is probably the most hidden talent in the world of 6-string. It hurt to see him on Hee-Haw playing rythmn guitar in the background while "star" Roy did his gymnastics and grimaces while playing mediocre guitar. What a waste.

Guys, it just don't get no better than that. Of course I'm a Rhodesaholic. Charlton is great too, but since I play mostly six string, Leon Rhodes has never ceased to amaze me with his playing. Wouldn't it have been great if Leon Rhodes could have cut an album with Joe Pass? Perhaps have Tal Farlow in there too. Well, wish in one hand...................................
