It is amazing what and whom all you can find on YouTube... and that's good... except the most widely known steel guitarist of 'em all - Jerry Byrd - is no where to be seen.
If some of you have material, please post and let us know. There are many of my generation and younger who never have had the privilege of seeing him.

I'll soon put that right, albeit with him on a dobro and backing Marty Robbins.

Jerry Byrd playin dobro, I've heard a lot of his playin on recordings but really haven't had the oppertunity to watch him play. Lookin forward to it. Keep us posted Basil.

I've never seen Jerry Byrd on the dobro-that was outstanding!

Basil ,many thanks for posting these vids I have never seen Jerry byrd play, only heard him on audio, doesn't he just glide with such ease. You can see from these few videos why he was called " master of touch and tone"
I have his LP on vinyl "Byrd in hawaii" ....its all but worn out i must find out if its available on CD.
Does anyone have some video of him playing lap steel /pedal steel ?
