Road Player for Jo Dee Messina

Post by LeRoy Sawyer »

Jo Dee will be in town for a concert soon and I was wondering who is playing steel on the road for her this summer?

Funny, I still got a post-it note in my drawer to "call Jo D (sic) Messina" because she needed a steel player. That was about 15 yrs. ago when she was still local. Never did call.

My very good (homeboy) friend Carl Phillips did call and played with her, I guess until she left Boston---we were just talking about that when we spoke recently.

Steve's a fine player, but as he would be the first to tell you he won't get much of a chance to prove it! It's a very good band but the sound is more oriented to 70-80's arena rock than anything...

Hello Pete, I was wondering where have been. But, I also figured that you were performing with various Nashville acts.
