300 kids "PlaySteel Guitar" for the first time.!

Post by Ed Naylor »

Yesterday I had the time of my life at a pre -school of 3-4 years old and having a chance to introduce them to Steel Guitar. After showing and explaining what a Steel guitar is and , the pedals function, how to use the bar etc. They all had a chance to "Hold the bar - Strum- Pedal action, etc" and the responses were amazing. Only 3 or 4 refused to participate. They liked the guitar I made special Guitar with a flag and they suggested the name "Flag Guitar- American etc" for it. Ed Naylor Steel Guitar Works

Ed, PLEASE don't quit what you've started here! There are sooooo few young people showing interest in the steel let alone getting the chance to even get up close and personal with one. If the coming generations don't get involved, well...we're seeing the last of it now. I don't want to see that happen.

Thanks for your efforts!

THe younger generation has to be targeted but will have to be approched in a new way. I have lots of "Older" customers. Today I made a deal to rebuild a Sho-Bud fo an 80 yr old. I am building a guitar for a man 88. A 92 year old player got parts off me recently. The Steel market is there. I have several projects working promoting Steel but it takes time. The next couple years will be crucial. Ed Naylor Steel Guitar Works
