My Song is Number One!

Post by Steve Stallings »

Yup.... massive fame and fortune Image
My new song is number one on the country chart on Independent radio wwww.nowhereradio.com. It is number three over all. The ratings are determined by the number of listeners. The song itself is not country but rather contemporary Christian. They don't have a Christian category. I did not use a pedal steel in the song but I might try a slightly different version with pedal steel. The Song is called "The Presence" http://www.nowhereradio.com/artists/album.php?aid=2632&alid=-1

I've listened several times and really like what the song says. Well, done! Now, a country version?

Congrats Steve, I had never thought much about writing, but last night I was invited to a song writers meeting and I enjoyed it. Maybe I'll have to give it a whirl.

For all my steel playing buddies I remixed this tonight after laying down a steel track. I honestly don't think the song lends itself well to pedal steel. Perhaps if I were a better player... The new version with steel is also posted.

Sounds great. You know, I like both mixes. The message comes through.

Thanks for your help on studio design.
