Gruhn has everything I've been looking for at this time:
*24 Loar mandolin
*Pre War D40 Martin
*Bigsby's own volume pedal

I know I've got an extra 1/4 mil laying around somewhere.

How much are they asking for the BIGSBY volume/tone pedal?
I believe I know the fellow that it was willed to here in Portland. He told me a week ago that it was worth $10,000, since it was Paul Bigsby's persoal prototype model in a custom box and everything.
I was unable to get the site on the link provided.

Herberto-Mi Amigo-Si-thats kinda how it started-anyway the thought of owning both of the only two existing Bigsby quads is appealing to me-but in reality I doubt that Skipper Montee would ever sell that guitar-I certainly would not-having Paul Bigsby make something so grand and wonderful with your name and his on it-am I right Ray?

Right-on Paul!

Every time I walk into the room and see it sitting there.....in all its splendor, I still get teary eyed.

It's as beautiful as the day I received it from Mr. Bigsby.

Plays great! And you're right. I wouldn't ever sell it. I'm just sentimental about it.
And sad to say, I feel the same way about my Emmons and the Ricks I've been fortunate enough to acquire. Each one has a special place in my heart. The thought of parting with any one of them sends chills down my spine.

As a sidenote, when asked for an appraisal, Gruhn recently valued a -63 near mint condition, triple 8 five pedal Bigbsy to be worth $4500!!! Had he gotten his hands on it, I wonder if you could have bought it from him for that.

I have one of these which I bought from Paul Bigsby personally in 1953. It has his signature inside which he did every time he changed a pot. What are these bringing today? Anyone have an idea?

Mike, it's probably in the 6-7k range.
