Junior Brown Interview

Post by Larry Lenhart »

On xm satellite radio yesterday I heard Jr interviewed by Bill Mack. He asked him who his favorite steel players were and he said 1. Lloyd Green, 2. Buddy Charleton, and 3. Jerry Byrd. He actually asked him who were his favorite guitar players, but he said there were too many to list, so he went to steel guitar instead. He said that Lloyd Green is starting a second career, but I dont know what he meant by that. He indicated that Lloyd was going to be doing more recording ! Yea for us !!
If you havent seen Jr in person, you will be amazed at his "Almost to Tulsa" arrangment-very much like Buddy Cs. Jr is just amazing to me anyway-the way he goes back and forth with such ease on his guit-steel. He can do it all! sing, steel, guitar !
