wireless modem question

Post by Ron Victoria »

My daughter is moving to an area which is a hot zone. She doesn't have a laptop, only a desktop pc. Is there a modem that can be bought to pick up the wireless signal? How is it attached?
Thanks, Ron

Ron
D-Link makes them. The pci card will do what you want. I am using 3 of them in my house with a wireless router. winston may

Ron, as Winston said, your Daughter will need a wireless NIC (Network Interface Card), that plugs into a PCI slot, or Network Riser slot, or USB port. There are several name brands available from Tiger Direct, some of which are currently on sale, on this page.<img width="1" height="1" border="0" src="http://ad.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/show?i ... =3&subid=0" alt="">
