email song attachments

Post by Joe Delaronde »

Every so often I receive an email with a song attached.

The songs starts playing immediately on opening the email. Some of the songs are nice & I would like to save them.

The email doesn't show the song as an attachment.

How can I save the song to play it later?

Joe,
I have a SoundBlaster sound card and I can
open the recorder and "record, edit (if necessary) and then save to file.
The recorder features a "What You Hear" source and this allows you to record anything
off the net.
There are freeware recorders that you can download and some probably have this feature.

Your sound card must have the "what you hear" or "system mixer" option/capability to do that, Roy.

e.g. in the Dell's with the on-board (on the motherboard) sound module, that option is not available.

They are embedded? Did you try to view headers or source?
