warning ebay scam of second chance offers
I have been receiving and have found out a lot of other people have to bogus second chance offers on ebay. A couple of years ago I bought a carter steel on a second chance offer that was totally legit and was probably the best deal I have got on ebay or maybe anywhere so I almost fell for this one. Second chance offers can be real but always go back to the original auction and make sure it is from the person that started the auction. I recently received a second chance offer on the same item from two different people so it must be something they are trying a lot. They are ruining a good thing. always report them and do everything you can to get them caught

As an eBay seller, I send a lot of 2nd chance offers. As an eBay buyer, I get a lot of them, mostly on high priced items.
They're pretty easy to spot... If you know it's something that the seller only has one of, he won't be trying to sell a 2nd, 3rd or 4th one - like a milling machine I was outbid on a few weeks ago. If the price seems rediculous, it's probably a scam.
The links in the fake 2nd chance offers go to a page that looks just like the eBay auction. Protect yourself by going to the ORIGINAL eBay auction page, send the real seller and email and just ASK if he sent a 2nd chance offer. If not, ignore all the other emails which are clearly scams.
