I use Windows Media Player version 9.00 and have had success with it in the past when copying music CDs to CD-Rs.
For some reason it recently started copying .cda files from the source disk, but when they arrive at the destination disk they are .wma files.
My computer will play them, but none of my CD players will play .wma files. The display on my living room CD player reads "Track 01", but there is no sound and it won't go to any of the other tracks.
Has anyone got any ideas as to how to get Windows Media Player to copy .cda files as .cda files again.
Thanks,
Mel

I have WMP 10, I don't know if it is the same. Click on Burn in the Media Player. On the Right hand side, Click the drop down arrow to the right of the Drive you are using. Make sure you choose Audio CD and NOT HighMat. If this is different than WMP9 have a look at the help file for Burning, .wma files etc.
