Why does it take minutes/hours for new posts to appear? I noticed a newbie, quite understandably, kept posting his message because he didn't see it. A thread with an instrument I'm interested in has a new post, but--an hour and a half after it was submitted--I can't see it. (And I logged on on another computer--T1 lines--here at work and still couldn't see it.) So much for the immediacy of the information superhighway--it's just like all the ones here in LA.

Weird.

It takes seconds for me and I can see the things I posted.I use cable.But I think it's not if U are using T1,T3,ADSL or cable.
I think your provider does something wrong.
Maybe you should take it up with him.I think that he's the one to blame.

Maybe there's a"web caching' device at work.

I never have a delay.

There have been issues in the past, with posts not showing, because of the differences in the PC time and the time from the Forum. However you can do a CTRL/F5 with Internet Explorer and force it to reload the page and you will see the updated post.

There is no delay on the server, and it has nothing to do with the system clock.

The old version of the page is in a cache, probably on your computer. If you're using Microsoft Internet Explorer, Ctrl+F5 will reload the page from the server instead of from the cache.
