Cool! Image This site is a little more user-friendly than the Korean one you posted: http://plusdeckonline.com/

So far, I've found it selling for $149. Not a bad investment for an easy way to copy cassettes to CD and vice versa. Image

The PDF download didn't work - error 404.

What I want to know is: Is this deck controlled by the computer with its own A/D conversion, or is it just a cassette deck that attaches to your sound card's I/O jacks?

This page: http://www.em411.com/show/hardware/188/1/plusdeck_2.html has some reviews and discussions. It says, "the included connection card (4 audio outputs and a serial output), connect the cables from that card to the motherboard sound inputs."

I connect my tape deck Via a stereo receiver to the sound card. Works great.

The biggest problem with recording from cassette to computer is getting breaks between songs to force a new audio file. I've always found it to be a painstaking manual process. Nobody wants a CD with all of the songs from a cassette on one track.

Rip Vinal will put in breaks after the song. For a small price of course. Image

b0b,

CDWave is a great program to take a lot of the work out of dubbing from cassettes. It's shareware, and can be found at www.cdwave.com
