Band in a box has two versions, v12 and the megapac. v12 is $60 and mega is $200. Whats the big difference?

Del,
I take it your using a MAC because this is what version 12 is for. Version 2004 is for a Windows based system but in either case the mega pack gives you all the styles, melodies, solists, and fakebook. The basic version only comes with a few basic styles.

What George said...

And in my opinion (only) - If you're a steel picker hoping to use BIAB to build accompaniment tracks for your steel playing, the basic BIAB program is all you need. I never had a use for the melodies, solists, and fakebook stuff, because I'm going to play the melody and I'm the soloist! Perhaps you more advanced BIAB users who build tracks for steel can shed some more light on this... Best, -Dave

I think the BIAB is the greatest invension since the wheel. I have the basic version, and also John Barons 4100+ file disc, and very satisfied with what I have. I would like to have a disc with Brogden, Rosseta, and Unger compressed on it.

I have BIAB and most of the extras, but I'm still looking for a fiddle simulation that sounds authentic!

Let me know when you find one. I've been mixing fiddle with viola in the harmonies, but it takes a lot of tweeking.

Wayne,
What all types of tunes are on the 4100+ disc? I am interested in classic country.
