Another nasty website

Post by Jim Hinton »

I've been reading the thread about the steel guitar website that is loaded with spyware, adware, etc.

Well, here's another one www.cowboylyrics.com

Sometimes when you're working up a new song, and you're not quite sure of a chord change, or the lyrics, it's cool to look it up on the Internet ... DO NOT try this site!

I have Symantec firewall, Ad-aware, and Spybot, and this filty website still invaded my computer. Luckily with all the utilities I have to remove it, I think I got it all taken back off.

Be careful out there, I hate miserable SOB's like this!!!

Jim,
Try cowpie/roughstock for lyrics if you need them.
Never had problems on that site.

Check out SpywareBlaster to prevent these parasites from even being installed on your computer - they have a free version. Get it at: http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/

Surely with all the technology available today, someone can come up with something to stop the X-rated e-mails that bombard us every day!

I can delete the Viagra, the get-acquainted ads, and the other sex-aids stuff, but those explicit e-mails that depict graffic sexual acts without opening the sites are inexcusable!

Whenever I have needed lyrics, I have gone to Google and typed the song name followed by the word lyrics. Sometimes I've had to put quotation marks around the song title, but I don't remember not finding the words.

The "other" reason I visited Cowboy Lyrics website was not just for the words, but they also chart out the entire song.

Now, I'm sure you can foresee the benefit of knowing what exact chord is being played in the song you are learning, and it's very cool to be able to "look it up" when you're not sure.

There is another site that does this also called OLGA. These are just the interpertations of the person posting the song, but they're usually pretty good.
