Fortunately, I heard the AOL horror stories years ago, before I had a computer at home, thus have never used it.

After all this time they still don't get it and can't get it right. They seem to think their continuing mega media blitz will somehow make up for all their crap.

What part of ucked up don't they understand?

Skip,
Try the free version and see how you like it. I had it til I upgraded to XP about a year or so ago and it wouldn't work. I have since loaded the free version and it seems to be working ok now,I think they have the XP bugs worked out now.

NetZero is a fine inexpensive Dialup Provider Image should be about $ 9.95 a month for unlimited access

I have used Netzero and didn't llike it because I kept getting knocked off for "inactivity". I have used Walmart wmconnect.com for over a year now and it is great. Unlimited access and no dumping when I read the forum or other long stuff. It is only $9.94 a month if it is available in your area I definitely recommend it.

I used juno for awhile.....seems they were with netzero, too? I finally was told about
allvantage.com & switched to that @ $5.95 a month for dial up. Seems fine to me......if it's available where you are you can try it free, I believe.

Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I ditched AOL and am trying peoplepc.com on a temporary basis at present. They advertise, "no credit card required", wrong!! Even to try it for free you have to give them a card. I guess what they are really saying is: send payment in advance for a year and you don't have to use a visa card. Image

I have used 650dialup.com for 8 months now and I wouldn't use any other. I used to use Net Zero at $9.95 a month. I wasn't satisfied with the service so I switched to 650dialup.com because of a recommendation of a PC builder. They only cost $6.50 per month and I have had no problems whatsoever. They accept money orders, checks etc. Credit card not required!
