Restoring BIAB song files

Post by Steven Welborn »

I may need to wipe and reload my PC. Can BIAB song files be saved to CD or floppy and restored to BIAB. Sure would be pretty tedious to type in all those songs again. Thanks

Yes,
I keep all of my song files in a folder that I named as songs in the BB folder. Just grab the folder and save it as data on the CD. When your ready just transfer the folder back from the CD. As a matter of fact I had to make a copy of that folder the other day and put it on my laptop. No problems at all.

I always keep all my BIAB files on a disk or CD outside of my PC if it goes down I still have all my songs.

I learned the hard way. Now I double backup all my BB files to 3 1/2 floppy & CD. The 3 1/2 floppy can hold a lot of BB files and is a lot more reliable to retrieve your files. The CD gets funny sometimes. However, the floppy is a lot slower transfering back and forth.
