Question fro those of you who have experience in doing your own website:
I am working on a website, upload through FTP always works fine, all of a sudden I get something different when I try to access the website through the net: As first page I don't get the regular start page, but a white page with the title "Index of/" , then a list with "Parent Directory" plus a list of all the files contained in the site. I still can access the site if I click on the folder "Index.htm" but everybody who tries to access the site has to go through that page. Why is that? Is there any way to eliminate that page and go to the main page of the website directly?
Thanks and Kind Regards, Walter

Walter,
index.htm should NOT be a folder. It must me an html file which contains the home page for the site. On my webserver, which runs Apache, the file must be named "index.htm" or "index.html" to work. "Index.htm" does not work, since Apache and Unix are case sensitive.
You might try renaming your Index.htm to index.htm
