Is this a Spyware/Adware Black & Red symbol?
I noticed I have a 'Black/white small oval shaped symbol with a Red/White Ball in the middle right next to the 'Downloading' bar that turns Blue as your page 'Loads'....Is this Black/Red "Ever Evil Lurking" little symbol what I THINK it is? Tell me it ISN'T "Spyware/Adware?
And, if I'm the lucky one to be the 'Keeper' of this 'Sneaky Beast'.... .What 'Antidote' is suggested for getting rid of this nusance? Thanks :

Yes......... I would suspect it is Spyware.
It shouldn't be there.

There's a program called Ad-Aware you can get at www.downloads.com. It should get rid of all the adware and spyware you've encountered. It was free the last time I checked.

I think you're referring to the security icon near the bottom right of the IE window. It looks like an eyeball and a red circle with a white dash in it.
I get that too, and when I double click it, a window pops up saying that it has restricted or blocked a cookie from PayPal. That comes from your security settings in IE, and doesn't hurt anything.

Thanks Guys for the Feedback. Yea, Jim,
That's it. A while back, A pop-up Jumped up "In My Face" saying I had Spyware, and I should download 'Adware' now to rid myself of such headaches, and it will promply take care of the spyware problem. HA, Trouble is, I DID, and Sheeesh, All HE@@ broke loose when I clicked on it after the download was done, and the "Invasion" of the pop-ups for DAYS BEGAN. (Ever try Emailing someone and you HAD to get this Email to him YESTERDAY, and, YOU HOST 'Spyware'? NOT FUN in the LEAST)
I am begining to LOVE ALL this 'Pent-up' HATE I am gathering little by litle each and every passing day with these COMPUTERS we LIVE WITH. I think I'd be better off "Taking on" my EX-WIFES' "Spyware"

At LEAST I KNOW how to "DELETE" HER.

I got a program a few days ago called pest patrol. It loads quickly and even found adware that was in programs loaded by the dell folks before they shipped the computer to me. I'm sure they were unaware of it.
Pest patrol is basically a anti spyware tool, and it seems a good one. Check google for it.
