footers" on SGForum posts
Could someone enlighten a newbie, please?
I've noticed that when certain Forum-members post, there are "footers" at the end of their post. These footers might be a link to the member's home-page, or list what steel guitars the member owns/plays.
How do you set things up so that you can display such a footer? Thanks in advance.

John;
At the top of the page, click on "Your Profile" it will take you to where you make your own. (BTW: Not the profile on each post.)

Thanks for the help, Ernie and Jon. Do I have to click "show signature" on each message I post (assuming that I want to show my signature on each post) or is there a default setting that will allow my signature to always be shown? ie- not having to click "show signature" each time I post.

The default is no sig. You need to check the box each time.

OK, I did that, and, It worked great....Now, All I want to know is..... Mr. Ernie,
WHERE DID you get that "DERBY" FROM, and, how did you put it in your "Profile"?
I don't WANT a Derby, But, I was thinking that where you got that from, you/we might have a choice. Been playing around with this computer for 3 years, and I'm STILL "Missing it."

Put the "http://" in your image link, like this:

BTW: If you want to know how somebody did one thing or another, above the post click on "edit". You won't be able to make any postable changes, but you can see what they typed to get what you see.

Good Lord, I,m gonna be 50 next month, and I really don't think I have ENOUGH Time to SHORTEN my Days ANY SHORTER that I GOT.
But, I THINK I have a Fighting Chance.....I've got a FIVE YEAR OLD Boy who, I swear, is SHOWING ME how to "MUTE" the TV.
Ernie, Thank You Kindly, Sir, HOW STUPID can a Guy FEEL sometimes...It's like sitting behind that steel, STARRING at the Neck, DUMBFOUNDED, and this guy comes up and says: "Now, If you Take Knee lever D,ingage it HALFWAY, and SLOWLY get off A&B pedal at the same time, THEN You can....."
"Good Lord, MAN,You mean to tell ME that it was RIGHT THERE ALL THIS TIME?" "YEP"! It's SOOOO "IN YOUR FACE" EASY that a FIVE YEAR OLD Could.......
Thanks Man, I think I'm gettin' the Hang of it NOW. BIG HELP......YEP
