Website question....

Post by Mark Krutke »

Hi folks,

I've had my site http://authenticrecording.com through Register.com for about 6 months now, but finding out that I couldn't have a direct link to sound clips on my site was a little discouraging.
I paid about $65 to have my site through Register, but I was wondering what other providers (that offer immediate access to sound clips on a site such as mine) I could go to that would charge that much or less.

Help!

it's only been a month or so , but I am quite pleased with Lunar Pages Web Hosting hosting my domain.

you are basically responsible for creating the content of your site (I have been linking directly to MP3's and the like with no problem), and maintaining it thru a web based interface, but you get storage and bandwidth for an ok price... I think their "Shuttle" plan is like 8 bucks a month.

you still need a dial up provider for regular internet service,,, they are strictly hosting

I run three different sites. I use Go Daddy for two of them and My Hosting for the other. (buddyemmons.com is the one with myhosting.)

Thanks Dave and Ernie,

Do any/all of these allow you to have the sound clips on your site?

Hi Mark,
I just started a new site with Website Hosting, Joe McHam, Houston, Texas.
Among the good things about Joe is that he is a Steel Guitarist and understands the needs.
Go to my site below and at the bottom of my Home page is a link to Joe.
Drop him an email.

I have all of Buddy's clips on My Hosting.

Check hosting plans and limits for Go Daddy and for My Hosting.
