Has anybody received this E-mail?

Post by Mike Perlowin RIP »

I received this, and I have no idea who sent it or what language it's written in, or what it's about, other than it appears to mention dobros.

One other steel player that I know of, got the same E-mail. I don't think it's the normal spam.

Yep, I got it too. Figured it was just misdirected spam and deleted it. Image

I've worked a lot with Czech and Bohemian pickers here in Texas, and I know "dobre" means "good" in Czech. This could be in that language.

That is definitely a Slavic language, but I don't know which one...

Be very careful with messages like that, even more if they have attachments. I NEVER open any attachments from unknown messages, I immediately delete them!!

Herb is right,it looks like a Czech and "dobre" means good so the whole thing has nothing to do with the steel guitars or Dobro resonators. It`s saying something about a servers and somebody not having a web site or something like that. Some computer talk.

You're all pretty close...it's slovakian, and and it says:

"It's ok, but from a server that deals with guest books, I'd expected a lot more. He he. Although my own website isn't that good, I wouldn't have this on it. Totally useless. Worthless design, yeah the whole **** ( Image ) is worthless. I'd rather keep the old one, though it isn't too cool. It works and I like it. Plus it's free! No offense, but this isn't that good at all!"

So...nothing about steel guitar there!

And no, I didn't translate it, I asked a guy who knows slovakian... Image

Thanks Niklas. I wonder why it was sent to a bunch of steel players.
