Search page problems
Looks like my PC has been taken over! I can't access any search engine pages (google.com). I was searching for MIDI files the other day, closing the pop-ups each time they opened and at one point I got a barrage of pop-ups. I closed them all and rebooted, but when I next started my browser, my home page had been changed and all the pop-ups appeared again. I was able to set my home page back, but now I can't get any search pages (get the 'page can't be displayed' screen when I go to any of them). I tried typing in search.yahoo.com and it took me to a search.yahoo.com.org and then directed me to your.com. The nice page at your.com invites me to make your.com my homepage and my search engine. Looks like your.com has hacked my PC preventing me from accessing any other sites. Any idea where I can go to get instructions to undo this mess?

Install Ad Aware and SpyBot, they're free.
Keep them up to date and run them weekly.
Works for me.

You most likely have the Qhost (Trojan-Qhost) virus. Go to you anti-virus site for details on how to remove it. My son had it on his new pc and he removed it using the instructions at the anti-virus site. Good luck. http://us.mcafee.com/virusInfo/default.asp?id=description&virus_k=100719 http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/trojan.qhosts.html
