How about a Poll?
Three weeks ago, I experienced five virus intrustions. I'd had none for several years.
This came after a somewhat miner confrontation with an outspoken forumite. Last week I rec'd two more of the same virus.
Anyone else experience a similar problem? Just curious.

Like David, I need to knock on wood. I do not have any virus protection other than whats built into MSN. I do not open e-mails
that I do not recognize. Maybe its time to
get a Norton virus protector. What I discoverd when I had an earlier Norton program, was the constant up-grading that needed to be down-loaded. It became a pain. Mabe its better now.

You still have to download the new virus definitions on a timely basis from Norton, but that is what keeps you safe. I try to do it least once a week, unless I see there's a new virus threat posted, then I do it right away. It costs you $14.95 @ year to renew your subscription.
Happy pickin......Harry

I've had computers since '95 and never had a virus protection on any of them and have never got a virus/worm from e-mail.
Mainly because as described by the other fellas....DO NOT OPEN/RUN ATTACHMENTS unless you know who it's from AND they explain what it is.
You can get e-mails with attachments from a friend that you just corrisponded with...that looks like they are just answering/furthering the conversation.....>and it will have a virus attached> so look out for that....and the reason you know...is because they didn't tell you what it is in the messege. If your not sure....just e-mail them back and ask...DO NOT trust any attachments EVER unless they describe.
