No pictures

I get e-mail with what I'm presuming are attachments or pictures.. when I open the mail the text is there, but what should be a picture is a box with a little red X in the corner.. How can I open these to see the pictures or attachments.. ????

John;
Try sending yourself a small picture. If it doesn't show up check your mail settings. I think some mail programs have the option of shutting off graphics.

Ernie I tried your suggestion & it worked fine, but I notice this happens more with my Yahoo e-mail, but also happens to a lesser degree with Earthlink... John
