How do you print on envelopes?
I have an HP deskjet. It has a slot for placing envelopes. But now, how do you orient the text to go on there? I'm trying to do this with Word Pad. Maybe i need another program? Is the answer in the printer or the computer?

Erik I did have an HP printer and use Microsoft Word to print my envelopes.I also have printed envelopes with several other programs such as card making programs. All programs that I have used have a feature to select the size envelope and the orientation too. It depeneds on your printer sometimes whether you put the envelope face down or up. Also some programs give you the option of selecting face up or down. Hope this helps.

Microsoft Word has a menu item Tools-Envelopes and Labels which WordPad doesn't have.
From WordPad's help on envelope printing:

On the File menu, click Page Setup.
In the Page Setup dialog box, do any of the following:
To change the paper or envelope size, click a size in Size.
To change the paper source, click a tray name or a feeder in Source.
To print the document vertically, click Portrait; to print the document horizontally, click Landscape.
To change the margins, type a width in any of the Margins boxes.
To change your printer settings, click Printer.</SMALL><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
