Netscape 7
I am being prompted to download Netscape 7.
How many have it and how do you like it?
I still use Net.4.7.
When I was prompted to download Net 6 some months ago I did and had to deinstall as it made my system very sluggish. That's why I am
hesitant about Net 7.
Would appreciate comments.

I downloaded Net 7. Don't like it. Instead of a full screen of bookmarks, you have to scroll thru them. Plus a lot of AOL BS that I am not interested in.
It's not better, it's more busy.
I haven't deleted it as yet in case I find time to explore it and change my opinion. I just logged off and went back to my old Netscape.

I loaded Netscape 6 and was very disappointed, so went back to 4.9. Some secure sites wouldn't allow 6 and insisted on 4.7+. So with some trepidation I loaded 7 and dumped 6. What a joy! I have had no shut down problems, and the idea of tabs on the web brower is great, I can set up a book mark for a group of tabs, for example I can open simultaneously with one button push all the topics on the forum that I am interested in. I am very happy with Netscape 7, particularly as those secure sites that wouldn't accept 6 work perfectly with 7.

Forget Netscape 7. It's even more full of AOL bloat than was Netscape 6. But if you really like Netscape, install Mozilla 1.0.1 instead of NS 7. It uses the same rendering engine, has the same tabbed interface, and none of the mandatory AOL junk.
Mozilla is the code base for Netscape, but it's open source development instead of commercial software.

I never did like Netscape. I really just keep it around to test out webpages I am building on it. It tends to do things different than other browsers.
