EXCEL Header Question

Post by Joey Ace »

Hi Folks!

In EXCEL 2000, VIEW > Header and Footer

Is there a way to put the HEADER only on page one? It now prints on all pages.

Sounds like an easy question, but I can't find the answer.

Thanks.

Joey, I have excel 97 and it doesn't have that capability either. A workaround would be to make the first row your header. Change the font and the row spacing. It will look like the header. You can also look at cell formatting if you want multi-line display.

Joey,

The only way around it that I know of is this:

Make new "worksheets" and put the other pages in the worksheets. Otherwise the Header and Footer options prints on all pages in the worksheet. Headers and Footers only go onto the worksheet it has been put into.

Hope that helps...

Mark

Thanks guys.
The MS Office Programs are so full of features I'm surprized they missed this one.

Karlis's workaround seems to be the easy way for me.
