Was that a smart thing to do? It has three utilities in one package. Firewall, anti-virus, and privacy control. I got it at Wal-Mart for $50. I won't open it until i hear your opinion. Do all these features work well together? Thanks.

Erik, it should work well. I wouldn't have bought the "works" package but you can't go wrong. Anti-virus and firewall are needed anymore. What does the "privacy" part do??

Make sure you uninstall any other anti-virus before you install the Norton. Two antivirus programs running on the same PC tends to cause problems.

According to the package, it includes personal firewall, privacy control, anti-virus, ad blocking. Privacy control is suppose to prevent you from accidentally sending personal info to a non-secure site. Don't think i would do that anyway, but it says it can also prevent web servers from retrieving your email address or other information, and to prevent applications from your PC from secretly making connections to internet sites and sending information to them. Who knows how well that works.

Thanks for the install tip. I will uninstall my outdated PCcillin before i install the Norton. Thanks.
