Question for Jack Stoner

Post by winston »

Jack, and anyone else, I am looking for some kind of program so I can print invoices with my own heading on top. Do you have any idea where I might locate one. I am running Office 2000 but cannot find anything that will do this. Thanks for the help. Winston

MS Word, at least in Office 97, can do this. From the Wizards help:
More Wizards and Templates
Microsoft Word provides many wizards and templates to help you create great documents. For example, the Letter Wizard helps you format a letter for professional or personal use, and the Fax Wizard creates a cover page and sends your document to someone else.
If you have not found the template or wizard you’re looking for, just do one or more of the following:
 Rerun Setup, and click the Custom button to install additional files.
 Go to the Microsoft Office Web Site and download free templates and wizards. On the Help menu, point to Microsoft on the Web, and then click Free Stuff.
 If you installed Microsoft Word from a CD, insert the disk and double-click on the ValuPack folder to see what other templates and wizards are available. Copy the files you want to the following location:
c:\program files\microsoft office\templates

I run the Forum business with QuickBooks. It prints invoices real nice. Lori's using it for her business, too. Her invoices include her logo above her address.

You can redesign the invoices in Quickbooks any way you like them. There's a good layout tool in the program.

The Office '97 program that has the invoice program included in the templates is Excel. Like b0b, I also use QuickBooks for my invoicing. As b0b said, it is very easy to customize the invoice format to your liking. Highly recommended.

b0b, thank you. I think the Quicken program is going to work just fine. Thanks to everyone. Once again the forum members rise to the occasion.
