WT12 Korg tuner problem

Post by Marty Broussard »

My old faithful tuner is giving me a little trouble that I think should be easily fixed. The unit powers up, etc. but it isn't detecting/hearing the note of the guitar. I changed cords and it still doesn't respond. The input jack looks fine too. Any suggestions? Thanks, Marty B.

That's exactly what happened to mine, Marty. Too bad I don't have a solution for you, or me!

Mine also developed the same problem. I actually found someone who said they could repair it by replacing a component but didn't recommend it because you can buy a new and better tuner for less than the repair cost.

Unfortunately, Gene has the answer. The "old reliable" is ready to go to the "tuner resting place".

The sad part is there isn't another "mechanical" meter tuner around that has the expanded scale (readability) of the WT-12.

Mark.............

I have managed to "repair" a number of these tuners for the local folks around here.

Should you wish, Send it to me,prepaid both ways, and I may be able to "Oral Roberts" it for you. If not, I'll send it back to you as I don't need tuners. I use a "KORG DTR-1".

I do this as a service to the Steel community........

E-Mail me,should you decide to send it.

Bill
