Peterson VS2 and universal tunings

Post by Jon Kostal »

Has anyone used this tuner with a E9/B6 12 string universal tuning? I'm curious about the presets.

I've been using the E9 setting for my U12, I don't know if there's a better way, it seems to work ok for me.

Jon, I play a Carter 12 string universal and my open tuning is B6th. The E9th presets in the Peterson tuner work fine for me. George

You also have the option to program
your own presets into the VS-ll.
That`s what I`ve done using the Newman table
from the Jeffran homepage.

The VS-II is already programed for Emmons/Newman presets both in E-9 and C-6. According to directions that come with the tuner, you can also use it for Universal tuning and if you wish, find your own tuning and store it in one of the 2 user programs. It is a very versatile tunes allowing you to measure your own cabinet drop and store your settings. It seems to work extremely well with my equipment and eliminates the need to 'remember' your temperment or carry a card with your own tunings on it. I give the VS-II an A plus! Just my 2 cents worth....Good Luck<FONT SIZE=1 COLOR="#8e236b"><p align=CENTER>[This message was edited by Mark Kelchen on 20 December 2004 at 07:20 AM.]</p></FONT>
