Well, they finally did it. They have made FX pedals that don't suck away all your tone. The DD6 has some nice features - in addition to the slaps it has a reverse, a hold and a 'warp' effect. The RV5 has some great 'verbs - hall, room, gate, spring, and a modulation effect. They both have stereo ins and outs, and they both sound excellent - with no discernible tone loss. Thank you Roland - Thank you Boss. I hereby take back many of the terrible things I've said about you over the years!

I am playing an RV-5 into a Dual Professional (1994) and a 1971 Super Reverb (Blackfaced circuit). I turned off the reverb in both amps! I like the RV-5 far better. The hall setting is really nice with my new Carter (U12 with Bill Lawrence XR-16 pickup, I believe that is the correct model number on the pickup).
and I neglected to mention, virtually no noise - no hum, no buzz, no funny little digital warble . . .
and if you use 2 amps in stereo - you'll be in sonic hawg heaven!

Rick, I am also using the Ebtech model "Hum=X" on one amps ac cord to eliminate the ground loop hum. You are right about the two amp sound, pure steel heaven!!
