My new TrueTone Pickup

Post by Larry Jamieson »

I recently bought a nice, used MSA single 10 guitar. It had the original MSA Super Sustain humbucker pickup. This guitar plays great and sounds good, but it was a little muddy in the lower strings. I took the pickup out and shipped it to Jerry Wallace, builder of True Tone pickups. He took the original humbucker apart, installed one of his great True Tone single coils in the housing and got it back to me in a short time period. What a difference. Nice separation in the bottom, lots of tone, and a great all around pickup. If you need a new steel pickup, or have one you need rewound, try Jerry! I'm pleased with the work he did for me! Larry, I had Jerry rewind the pickups in my 75 pp and I couldn't be more pleased with the sound. He does excellent work on pickups.

I installed a 19.5 ohm TrueTone in my U-12 Zum. It made a great guitar sound even greater. I'm very happy with the results. Jerry knows his stuff.
