If you had a choice to have any self contained Amp. on the market today to use, What kind would you pick, and why?
Myself I use 2 Evans SE 200 ON my Williams, and the sound is great

I used the Evans amps for a few years and really can't say anything bad about them but recently went back to my old Session 400's. I've had the Webb amps, Fender Twins, still got an old9Standel but for a free standing amp at least for now it's the old Session. I'm waiting for the tube amp that doesn't weigh 100 pounds. yeah right!

Is anyone out there using a Rivera amp for pedal steel? If so, how is it compared to others you own or have tried out?

Peavey Nashville 1000, Best bang for the buck! Its really a great sensible straight forward amp and years from now people will be trying to get them just like they are about Blackface Twins and Session 400's now.
Right now at steel shows, you will see more NV 1000's than any other amp and they all sound good.
[This message was edited by John Floyd on 25 March 2004 at 07:36 AM.]

The best 6-string player in this area was using a Rivera and it was killer for that tele sound. Never heard PSG on a Rivera, but I immagine it would be a lot like like a twin.
