New Peavy Amp
John brought one to the Fl. steel guitar jam yesterday and was next to me. That thing is awsome what a sound. If I had not known better I would have thought it was a 15, I would have never believed it If I had not heard it with my own ears.
Peavy you did it again.

Ernest, I can't take credit for designing the Nashville 112 because I didn't. Our analog engineering team designed this amp with my input concerning the features and speaker choice.
I am pleased to hear that you like the amp. I believe that you will be surprised at its performance, but I will caution that it is rated to produce 80 watts and will not compete when onstage next to a 200-300 watt amplifier. The Nashville 112 was designed for the entry level player and/or low volume level applications. However, this amp is in no way an "economical" amplifier, meaning that cheap parts were used in its design. This model uses some of the same electronics components that are used in the Nashville 1000.
Try the Nashville 1000 and Nashville 112 amps out at your favorite Peavey steel guitar amp shop. You won't be disappointed.

Mike sorry for the misinformation. Jonny Bondz brought this amp to the Fl. steel guitar jam yesterday and said to give you credit for it.
It is his and you can buy it at Bondz Music in wildwood Fl. not mine just heard it.
Sounded good to me, it filled the room just like the big Amps did. I used my ShoBud amp it was up there with it, in that room it was with all the biggons.

A couple of questions.I know the 112 has a 12 inch speaker.But it seems I read that Peavey is using 2 different types of speakers in these amps?? Also how much does it weigh? Carter shows shipping weight at 50 LBS.And how does the 112 compare sound wise and weight wise to the old LTD 400's from the 70's? Thanks.........bb

Bobby, I haven't compared the 112 to the older LTD400, but I would think that those two would sound completely different because of the eq circuit and the 12" vs. 15" speakers. Can anybody out there in Forumland provide an opinion as I don't have access to an LTD? We haven't used two different speakers on the production run. Our first version of this amp of this amp had a 4 ohm Blue Marvel with a larger magnet, but that is not the version that is shipping. The first version had a Blue Marvel 8 ohm speaker and a larger cabineet. The existing version has a 4 ohm Blue Marvel.
The weight of the Nashville 112 is 42.5lbs. Check it out on our website here;

We began shipping this new model in July of this year and many of you haven't played through one or even seen one yet. It is worth checking out. For other Forum comments on this new model, go here;http://steelguitarforum.com/Forum11/HTML/004073.html
As I stated, I didn't "design" the amp, but I am the Product Developement Manager for steel amps and did have a hand in the "developement" of this model.
Thanks for the interest. If you have questions, pick up the phone and call me toll free in North America at 1-877-732-8391.
