George L Pickup question

Post by Brad Burch »

Is there a George L pickup hum cancelling that looks like a single coil in the fact the the pole pieces are visable through the top? If so, what is the model and maybe your opinion on sound?

The Bill Lawrence 910 is like that. Everybody says that the Bill Lawrence pickups are much better than the George L, I've got a couple of 710's ordered. I had a George L E66 at one time which sounded pretty good.

I never saw a George L pickup that looks like that. As far as I know, every George L pickup is enclosed in a shiny black plastic box with goild script (GeorgeL) on the top.

Brad, I believe the pickup you are referring to is the George L TPPP. I have been using it exclusively since they first came out and I find it to be the best sounding pickup out there (for me anyway).

It is crystal clear, great tone and quiet.

Yes, Bill I will have to agree.

I got the George L TPP pickups on my D10 Carter and they are really great....al Image.
