FX Processors Advice Wanted
I have read several threads on effects processors. I'm shopping around for a good used one under $400. Looking at the Lexicon 500 and the Digitech studio quad 4. Here are some needs and wants.
1) Quiet operation. Clean sound/uncolored
2) Rack/cush case mountable
3) Excellent Delays and Reverbs
4) Dependable
5) Rotary speaker effect that's usable.
This last one isn't a absolute have-to-have.
I currently use a GK Rotosphere which is excellent, and I could keep using that.
Would like opinions on these two models, along with others you might be using.
Thanks
Tony

Don't overlook the Digitech 2112, its an older unit but are very good for steel. They seem to be going used now for around $300. They sold for around a grand when they first came out. They have a tube preamp section.

I just bought a Lexicon MPX 200 over e-bay for $215.00. They usually sell for $299.00.
I guess it is very similiar to the MPX 100 but a little more user friendly plus some more features "we can't live without". The MPX 100 has been discontinued and is now the MPX 110 (this is now selling for $249.00). The Lexicon has gotten lots of raves especially for its reverbs. I use a Tube Works spring reverb so bought the Lexicon for some echo, chorus & compression. It has a lot more effects that the above including leslie (rotary speaker) effect and etc. What a deal!
