I've Been Called Worse

Post by Jon Light (deceased) »

I noticed a solicitation on the newsletter from this effects store, "Musictoyz.com", to send pics of your rig. I knew my outrigger would be off the beaten path for these guitar oriented folks so I sent my pics. They went a little nuts.

Check it out here--
http://www.musictoyz.com/index.htm

click "Norman Bates", top right.

Time for my shower scene.

Congratulations on the front page link. I think it's a cool setup. I wouldn't classify it as "psycho" or anything. Maybe if you're playing and all of a sudden you punch a pedal with your right fist, well then perhaps i'd be a bit concerned if i was in the front row. Image

There's still room for a Theremin antenna!

Nice Jon, but you lack a few I-would-think vital components. Get a wireless system and mount it and the transmitter antenna on the top of the pole. And aren't those teeny-tiny stompbox knobs hard to turn, especially with fingerpicks? How about some short flexible -cable extenders fitted with larger knobs? Plus, visiblity in darker settings such as bars, dancehalls, etc. can be a problem. Some form of illumination is definitely in order for complete efficiency. Miniature flexible "goosenecks" are available, fasten one end to the mainpole, run the wires for the bulb inside the gooseneck and connect to the same power source powering the pedals. Of course you'd need some kind of shield to keep the light on the pedals and out of your eyes, attach this to the bulb end of the mini-gooseneck. One light-gooseneck for each stompbox would of course be maximum.
[This message was edited by Jim Phelps on 11 April 2002 at 05:17 PM.]

Your only mistake was entering your submittal under the name John L., instead of just signing it R.G. Light. Image

I think Jon should change his name to A. Dwight Light.

Jim; Do you remember Glenn Campbell saying his teacher asked him to use the word delight in a sentence ?? He replied: Da wind blew in da window and blew out delight !!

Since you're a steel player, I think it should be 'Bud' Light.

I've enjoyed all responses here. I can't for the life of me figure how I never thought of Bud Light myself!
Let me add--I knew that these folks (musictoyz) were kinda warped. I like it. I've done some business with them and it was a very satisfactory deal.
