Tri-cone sound from Matchbro?

Post by Roger Shackelton »

Is it possible to get a tri-cone resonator sound by tweaking the controls on a Matchbro?

The MatchBro does a credible job simulating a generic dobro sound. But, I doubt that you can get it to sound like specific make/model dobro.

Maybe if the same thing as "amp modeling technology" were developed for a dobro simulator, but we're probably dreaming about that.

Not to mention the cost of a unit like that. With a Matchbro currently going for around $450, it would probably double the cost to add "guitar" modeling.
