Where can I get a new potentiometer for my Volume pedal? Is it a special type?

Try doing a search or going back around 60-90 days.

Billy: Blackie Taylor music has them. You'll need either a 500k or 250 K pot. He's listed under the links section of the forum. In fact, there are several sites listed that can obtain them for you. Hope this helps.
