SendCutSend
I saw an advertisement for SendCutSend, a company that does custom sheet metal cutting and bending. I don't have the best carpentry or metal working skills and I was thinking that I could get the metal parts and the body formed and then I could just assemble the guitar. Thoughts?

I am a big fan of sendcutsend. I use them all the time. They've cut my bell cranks, pedals, finger housing, fretboards and more!

Re: SendCutSend
That looks great. Is there a company that does has a CNC router for making lap steel bodies?

Re: SendCutSend
While sendcutsend does offer CNC machining, I'm not sure if wood is a material they offer (assuming you want a wood body)

Never heard of this, but no I'm curious ... is sendcutsend akin to guys like Michael Y'all for getting out of production parts for your guitar? ...Mike Preuss wrote: 17 Mar 2026 4:20 pm I am a big fan of sendcutsend. What's the process for getting belcrank's or levers for your guitar?

Dale-
I use a program called Visio, which is like the Microsoft Paint of drafting software.
But it's what I have and what I know, and it is really easy to use for making dimensional 2d drawings.
I make a drawing for a part, save it as a CAD file, upload it to sendcutsend, get an automatic quote, hit purchase, and get the part in about 5 days.
They make the whole process so easy.
But it all starts with the drawing.
