Never a fan of California country rock except NRPS or the first two Flying Burritos maybe some Jerry Garcia stuff too. The Eagles or Poco were to mellow for me.

Yee Haw!
Buddy Cage was the guy that introduced me to our crazy instrument…on the Midnight Special.
Thanks for posting those.

There are only two options as I see it.
Either I'm right, or there is a sinister conspiracy to conceal the fact that I'm right.
Williams Keyless S-10, BMI S-10, Evans FET-500LV, Fender Steel King, 2 Roland Cube 80XL's,
Sarno FreeLoader, Goodrich Passive Volume Pedals, Vintage ACE Pack-A-Seat

Never seen that first one.
Both are a great demonstration of the advantages of palm blocking. You can really get those notes short and clipped.

Saw them at age 13 at the Capitol in Passaic NJ in Oct 73. Within a month I found a friend who's dad had an old Fender lap steel and loaned to me. And the journey started. 1976 got an MSA Semi-Classic.

Re: NRPS video
Good videos, thanks! Got to bellyache about the second one, how very many times we see the rest of the band during the verses, then on the steel break they either show the lead singer just stand there plunking chords, or in this case they put up graphics showing who the band members are.
Oh well, it's still worth hearing several times.
Many play better than I do. Nobody has more fun.

Re: NRPS video
These two songs are a reminder of how great Buddy was, in a lot of today's music, you don't hear this type of playing. Love that bouncy sound.
I luckily got to see and meet Buddy a few times later in his career, of which I am grateful
for!
