Stage One "cross rod/bell cranks"

Has anyone changed out the pedal or knee lever "cross rod" on a Stage One steel guitar?
I understand the bell cranks are permanently attached to the cross rod on the factory equipped model, there by not allowing
for any copedent change.

I'm only considering changing a couple cross rods. Maybe adding a movable bell crank to the existing cross rod and abandoning/bypassing
the current bell crank would be feasible?

I have made "clip-on" bell cranks out of 6061 aluminum. They simply attach/clamp on with the 2 parts around the cross shaft so as no removal is required.

And.. Here is a reversing system I designed to lower string 6 a full tone on RKL...
